  • JOB OVERVIEW

    Working as part of a highly committed team at Sunrise the Catering Assistant is one of the key roles within our communities. As Catering Assistant you will put the residents nutritional health and well being at the heart of everything you do.     As Catering Assistant you will assist with the preparation and serving of meals to our residents, ensuring all special dietary needs are met and prepare texture modified food as directed. you will maintain records and control stock rotation, ensure the kitchen and service areas are clean and hygienic at all times.  

    The rate of pay for this role is £8.20 - £9.30 per hour (depending on experience).  In addition, we love to look after our colleagues with fantastic benefits – from subsidised meals and free parking to life insurance, high street discounts and fantastic training and development (please see below for a full list of these).

    Even if you don’t drive, we are conveniently located 15 minutes walk from Farncombe train station and have fantastic bus links from Guildford, Aldershot and Farnborough with the bus stop located right outside Sunrise.

    RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS

    • Experience in the catering services is beneficial although not essential.
    • Possess effective written and verbal communication skills
    • Possess good judgement, problem solving, and decision making skills
    • Food handling course qualification desirable
