We are currently recruiting for a Director of Operations to work across both the Sunrise Senior Living & Gracewell Healthcare portfolio, looking after 8-10 Homes / communities within the London region. The Director of Operations is responsible for all aspects of business performance within their home portfolio, providing leadership, development, execution and business management at a senior level.


Key responsibilities will include:


  • To attract, retain and develop top talent
  • To provide innovative, incomparable, outstanding and consistent care and services
  • To maximize profitability through revenue generation and expense control
  • To retain and enhance the Gracewell & Sunrise culture and values
  • Demonstrate understanding and applies knowledge of all Sunrise & Gracewell products and services including their individual signatures and features and the benefits they bring to residents and family members
  • Knowledge of current and evolving CQC regulations
  • Demonstrates understanding of the overall senior care market and Sunrise / Gracewell’s unique niche in that market
  • Oversees basic quality assurance
  • Conducts one-day comprehensive reviews/site visits with each community
  • Overall knowledge of Profit & Loss (P&L) business management (pricing, financial reporting, census measures, variance reports, labour reports, etc)
  • Understands and utilises the business intelligence reports / tools to manage and enhance their business operation
