The Dining Room Supervisor is responsible for organising the Catering Assistants and Care Assistants to enable the dining experience to be smooth and efficient at all times.The Dining Room Supervisor is responsible for dining room preparation, cleanliness and set up.

The Dining Room Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the meals are served in a timely, presentable and in a correct manner.

The Dining Room Supervisor is responsible for assisting the residents to appropriate tables.





Essential Key Duties:


Dining Room preparation including cleanliness and set up

  • Ensure at all times that the Dining Room and Bistro area is kept clean and tidy
  • Set up the tables as appropriate to the meal being served
  • Ensure that all condiments are kept full at all times and that the necessary condiments are available
  • Ensure that Bistro area is well stocked at all time


Dining Experience

  • Organise staff to cover specific areas of the dining room to ensure that service is swift and efficient at all times
  • Supervise the dining experience at all times and solve/report any problems to Chef/Dining Services Coordinator




  • Experience in the catering services is beneficial although not necessary
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Possess effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Possess good judgment, problem solving, and decision making skills
  • Food handling course qualification
  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet the business needs
  • Effective time keeping and time management
  • Supervisory experience preferred
